Editor in Chief

Dear fellow colleagues and valued readers,

Happy New Year 2024! As we bid farewell to 2023, a year filled with hard work and meaningful encounters with supportive dentists, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our second edition. We have received an overwhelming support and response from our stake holders – Professors, clinicians from all specialities, general dental practitioners, principals, distributors, dental technology labs and dental students whom have been the very reason why we created this magazine, to bring the industry together. We are truly grateful for this working relationship that have become even stronger by the existence of this magazine.

Reflecting on our journey, the first edition allowed us to reconnect with old teachers and mentors who have imparted invaluable memories and knowledge, shaping us both professionally and personally.

These mentors and colleagues, representing diverse backgrounds in academia and clinical practice, have played an important role in our development. They are often the unsung heroes, contributing significantly to the changes and growth of dentistry in our country. It has always been my dream to bring these mentors, the true luminaries of dentistry, together as a symbol of inspiration for all dentists and as an expression of gratitude to the teachers, mentors, sifus, gurus, and clinicians who guide us on our professional journey.

In this edition, we embrace the theme of Championing Lifelong Education—a cause close to my heart. The editorial team unanimously chose this theme as it resonates with the ceaseless pursuit of knowledge and skill enhancement crucial for providing the best care to our patients. Across generations, we witness clinicians dedicated to continuous learning, attending courses, and staying abreast of the latest advancements, ensuring they remain at the forefront of the profession.

It is with great honor that we present the outstanding seven personalities featured in this edition. Each one has crossed our path during our journey as students or clinicians. While there are many more deserving teachers and mentors who are not able to be featured, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all for molding us and contributing to the growth of the dental industry.

Last but not least, to the CEO of Dental Forward Magazine, Mr Kavin Sothirasan for creating the amazing dynamics amongst us in the group and for always being the one recognising our true potential and creating a path for it to bloom. To the editorial team, I cannot ask for a better team to make this happen, thank you.

Thank you for your continuous support.
