On July 23, 2024, the Asia Pacific Dental Industry Association (APDIA) and the Taiwan Dental Traders Association (TDTA) came together in a historic virtual ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This collaboration will see the two organizations jointly host the highly anticipated 2024 APDIA Conference alongside the Taiwan World Dental Show (TWDS), scheduled for November 9-10, 2024, in the vibrant city of Taipei, Taiwan.
This alliance between APDIA and TDTA is more than just a partnership; it’s a bold step towards revolutionizing the dental industry. By uniting their strengths, the two associations aim to unlock new local and international business opportunities, drive cutting-edge innovation, foster global partnerships, and offer unparalleled professional development for their members.
Under the MOA, APDIA will take charge of the international aspects of the event, orchestrating regional meetings, buyer group missions, visits to key dental industry sites in Taiwan, and various networking events. In turn, TDTA will bolster APDIA’s presence as a co-organizer and exhibitor, ensuring the event serves as a premier international platform for the dental fraternity.
“The collaboration we are celebrating today is a testament to our shared vision and commitment to advancing the dental industry. By working together, APDIA and TDTA are poised to create a dynamic platform that not only enhances the growth of our respective associations but also contributes significantly to the global dental community,” said MA Lourdes Jimenez-Villaroman, president of APDIA. “This MOA signifies our dedication to building a future where dental professionals can thrive, innovate, and collaborate across borders. We are excited to partner with TDTA to bring together industry leaders and professionals in Taipei.”
Officially established on July 14, 2023, APDIA is dedicated to fostering cooperation among dental industry associations across the ASEAN and Asia Pacific regions. Governed by a committed council and open to membership from Asia Pacific countries, APDIA currently boasts members from Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Australia. Under the pioneering leadership of MA Lourdes Jimenez-Villaroman, APDIA is set on driving innovation and collaboration for the dental industry’s growth throughout the region.
“Hosting the APDIA meeting and buyers’ program alongside the Taiwan World Dental Show underscores our commitment to fostering international partnerships and advancing the dental industry. We look forward to a successful event that benefits all participants,” said Oscar Kuo Yu-Jen, president of TDTA. Representing Taiwan’s dental industry, TDTA’s involvement in APDIA marks a significant stride towards driving industry growth in Taiwan and facilitating international collaborations through TWDS.
During the virtual ceremony, TDTA Secretary Arthur Kuo provided an enticing preview of the upcoming APDIA Conference and TWDS. The event is expected to draw over 1,000 participants, with 88% of the 195 available booths already booked.
